Purpose and Scope

Moximed, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Receivable Accountant to join our finance team.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable/receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and employee reimbursements, handling payment applications, reconciling accounts, and assisting with resolving outstanding payment issues and maintaining financial records.  This role requires excellent accounting skills and familiarity with financial software, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Basic functions of this role include the following:

• Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems
• Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and customers through timely payments, timely invoice and payment application, and correspondences
• Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable/receivable processes
• Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting
• Comply with national and local financial regulations

 Responsibilities

• Review invoices and employee expense reimbursements for appropriate documentation and approvals prior to payment
• Validate charges are compliant to company policies
• Reconcile invoices to goods received or services rendered
• Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
• Ensure credit received for outstanding memos, issue stop-payments, or request purchase order amendments
• Process payments to suppliers via various payment methods (check, wire/ACH, credit card)
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Process employee expenses into Concur
• Receive, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons
• Setup and maintain supplier and customer master records, which includes obtaining supplier banking information and W-9 and tax exemption certificates, as needed
• Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation
• Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices
• Process 1099 filings
• Sunshine Act Reporting
• Process and apply customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain up-to-date billing and account records
• Assist with preparing and sending customer statements and invoices
• Assist with month-end duties, including account reconciliations and reporting
• Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A. Education and Training

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus
• 3+ years’ experience in similar role required
